When I Lie To You Do You Love Me More?

When I Lie To You Do You Love Me More? (Si Je Te Mens, Tu M'Aime?) is about a boy and a girl who first fall in love and then fall out, something that should have stayed in their world, in their playground, but instead becomes the battleground for the parents and other adults who use their children as pawns in their own battles with disappointment and worry.
It asks why adults have become like children and children themselves have to take on the mantle of responsability..The show was commissioned and produced by Theatre du Prisme in Autumn 2020 and was based on an idea by Arnaud Anckaert and Robert Alan Evans. It was performed originally by Noémie Gantier and Maxence Vandevelde. Directed by Arnaud Anckaert and translated by Séverine Magois.
It was the result of a long collaboration between Robert Alan Evans and Theatre Du Prisme's director Arnaud Anckaert and producer Capucine Lange, who have previously produced translations of Pondlife and Mikey and Addie.

The show opened in October 2020, but was forced to close after only a few performances in Lille.
Hopefully it will be back on it's feet as soon as possible in December 2020 and into 2021. |
